Fusor® 2098 Crash Durable Structural Adhesive (Slow)

Lord Fusor Crash Durable Structural Adhesive is a metal bonding adhesive that is good enough to replace all OEM single-component crash durable adhesives. It helps in restoring vehicles to the original condition before an accident. Use it for weld bonding, panel bonding, and rivet bonding of all steel and aluminum panels. Some of the substrates it can be effective on are aluminum, steel, Metton, and SMC/FRP.


How to use the Lord Fusor Crash Durable Structural Adhesive:
Surface Preparation: Use a fine disk to grind the surface of all mating flanges not greater than 1". Ensure that you remove the existing adhesive. Pre-fit the new panel to make sure the alignment is good. Wipe the surface you are looking to bond using a solvent such as acetone, isopropyl alcohol, and heptanes, without leaving any residue.
Preparing the Product: Insert the Fusor two-component adhesive cartridge into the dispensing gun. Squeeze a small amount of adhesive from each side of the cartridge to level the plungers. This will also ensure that the adhesive comes out of both sides of the cartridge. Fix the mixing tip and take out a small amount of material to ensure that the adhesive mixes properly with a consistent color.
Application: Put a small amount of adhesive on the bonding flange of both the panels. Spread adhesive quickly over bare metal for priming. Apply a 1/4 to 3/8 inch bead of adhesive to the prepared mating surfaces or panels. Secure panel with clamps. Weld the panel or install the mechanical fasteners in their designated positions. Wipe the surface with a solvent to remove any residue.
