Due to its cushioned backing pad design, Abralon Abrasive Pads and Sheets create a smooth sanding pattern on angled surfaces and edges, whilst simultaneously minimising the risk of uneven marks on the finished surface making this abrasive material ideally suited to those working in Car Restoration / Automotive, Marine, woodworking and stone working industries; where accepting anything other than ‘perfectly smooth’ isn’t an option.

The flexible weave allows water and air to pass freely over the pad, making the product suitable for both wet and dry sanding, either on a machine or by hand where Abralon was also developed for the finishing and pre-polishing of gelcoat, sheet moulding compound (SMC), glass reinforced plastic (GRP), lacquers and so on.

Mirka Abralon is a Silicon Carbide Grain which is bonded with a customised Mirka Resin to a Knitted fabric on a foam backed pad or sheet, a special ABRALON coating is applied to the product resulting in a Grey colour to the pads/sheets
